Celebrating the 10 year anniversary of female:pressure, a pioneering project to raise the visibility of female artists in electronic music, and following up on our open:sounds CD (released in 2006) we are proud to present our first DVD: female:pressure dvd1

From the beginning, VJs (Video Jockeys) and other visual artists have been part of the female:pressure community because they essentially shape the characteristics of almost every realm in electronic music and club culture. Yet, the work of video artists is not being recognized appropriately in this context - this applies both to their payment as to their public perception. To counteract the one-sided focus on DJs and musicians we want to offer "our" visual artists the overdue possibility to present their work adequately.

Our production platform open:sounds - implemented in 2005 - provided the basis for the DVD: female:pressure musicians made new tracks and remixes of the previously existent material available through open:sounds.

Thanks to the funding of "Verein Stadtimpuls Wien" (Vienna City Impulse Association), we were able to invite female:pressure video artists resident in Vienna to create videos for the 21 international tracks compiled from our open:sounds pool. Their works cover the broad spectrum of different methods of visualizing electronic music: from live video mixing to video clips to experimental filmlets and animations. Christina Goestl's design of the DVD connects the heterogeneous works and creates continuity. Thus, one can view single clips as well as watch the DVD in full length.

Through free distribution of the whole pressing (3000 copies) and the application of Creative Commons Licenses (Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works) for video and audio material, we want to ensure a most widespread non-commercial use, increase the presence of female:pressure artists - especially visual artists - and demonstrate networking by contemporary, alternative means. The DVD will be available in selected record stores and online. Hardwax Berlin carries out the physical distribution.

Zum zehnjährigen female:pressure Jubiläum (einem wegweisenden Community-Projekt zur Steigerung der Sichtbarkeit von Künstlerinnen im Bereich elektronischer Musik) und als Weiterführung der 2006 realisierten open:sounds CD stellen wir unsere erste DVD vor: female:pressure dvd1

Von Anfang an waren VJs (Video Jockeys) und andere bildende Künstlerinnen bei female:pressure integriert, da sie in wesentlichem Ausmaß den Charakter nahezu aller Bereiche elektronischer Musik und der Clubkultur prägen. Besonders die Arbeit von VideokünstlerInnen wird in diesem Zusammenhang oft nicht entsprechend gewürdigt - das gilt sowohl für die Wahrnehmung durch die Öffentlichkeit als auch für die Bezahlung ihrer Tätigkeit. Um der einseitigen Fokussierung auf DJs und MusikerInnen als Publikumsattraktion entgegenzuwirken und die mediale Präsenz von VJs zu erhöhen, wollen wir "unseren" Visualistinnen eine längst überfällige Präsentationsmöglichkeit bieten.

Unsere 2005 eingeführte, vom Verein Stadtimpuls Wien ermöglichte Produktionsplattform open:sounds liefert dazu das Ausgangsmaterial: Für die DVD entstanden neue Stücke, die female:pressure Musikerinnen über open:sounds zur Verfügung stellten, und Remixe aus dem dort vorhandenen Soundmaterial.

Da auch die DVD vom Verein Stadtimpuls Wien gefördert wurde, konnten wir die in Wien ansässigen, auf female:pressure gelisteten Videokünstlerinnen auffordern, Videos zu den 21 internationalen, aus dem open:sounds Pool kompilierten Musikstücken zu gestalten - mit dem Ziel, das Spektrum der verschiedenen Methoden zur Visualisierung elektronischer Musik weitgehend abzudecken: vom Live Video Mixing über Videoclips bis zu experimentellen Kurzfilmen und Animationen. Die Gesamtregie Christina Goestls verbindet die unterschiedlichen Arbeiten so, dass die modular aufgebaute DVD auch durchlaufend und nicht nur in einzelnen Passagen bzw. Clips zum Einsatz kommen kann.

Durch die Gratisverteilung der kompletten Auflage (3000 Stück) und die Anwendung von Creative Commons Lizenzen (Namensnennung-Keine kommerzielle Nutzung-Keine Bearbeitung) auf Bild- und Tonmaterial wollen wir die nichtkommerzielle Nutzung der DVD möglichst umfassend gestalten und so eine verstärkte Präsenz von female:pressure Künstlerinnen - insbesondere von Visualistinnen - schaffen, vernetzte Arbeit mit zeitgemäßen, alternativen Mitteln demonstrieren. Die DVD wird in ausgewählten Plattenläden und online erhältlich sein, in Wien auch bei Alphaville, der Vertrieb läuft über Hardwax Berlin.

annablume, die sich gleichermaßen als Filmemacherin und Visualistin sieht, versucht in ihrer Arbeit immer wieder, neue Ansätze zu finden. Teils entwickelte sich ihr Stil aus der Technik, teils aus musikalischen Eindrücken. Von konkreten Objekten bis hin zur Animation abstrakter Elemente kreiert annablume ein homogenes, sich langsam entwickelndes Bild. Ihre spezielle Ästhetik basiert auf einem ganzheitlichen Eindruck, der sich durch Farbgebung und Materialwahl ergibt.
Als VJane ordnet sie sich der Musik unter, ohne ihre Eigenständigkeit abzugeben. Sie verzichtet auf einen konstanten Wechsel sondern versucht, den Betrachter durch subtile, Sinn gebende Veränderungen und Formen in ihren Bann zu ziehen. Dadurch ergeben sich langsam wabernde Farbmäander und Strukturtransformationen neben thematisch aneinander gesetzten und multipel verwendeten Layern. Das Grundmaterial Fotografie stellt einerseits einen "stop-motion" ähnlichen Rhythmus her, wird andererseits in flüssige Animationen weiterverarbeitet und gibt so den alles andere als generiert erscheinenden Grundton.

e:v/a got interested in visualisation during her studies of art history - focussing on contemporary art. After a few years of following the visual evolution in theory she started her active vj-career playing live as a member of the vj-collective source in january 2006. During that time e:v/a learned a lot concerning production and live-visualisation and soon she worked out her very own style. She is permantently seeking for new material, new footage and loves figuring out new possibilities of working with camera and software. One of the most important things in visualising is good music. e:v/a loves visualizing music that she enjoys and her first aim is to combine her visuals with the sound as matching as possible.
e:v/a is curating and organising "sound:frame - festival for visualizing electronic music". Therefore she founded "ei(s)kon:fekt. verein zur förderung der audio-visuellen kultur" together with romana kleewein in october 2006. With the realisation of sound:frame she aims at equating sound and picture. She is trying to connect visual artists and musical acts and desires to sensitise a broader audience to the amazing quality of audio-visual "space-invasion".

Die in Wien geborene und lebende Künstlerin Jacqueline Kraus aka Elektra Bregenz spezialisierte sich während ihres Kunststudiums auf Fotografie, Video, Objektkunst und Visuals. Plattensammeln war schon immer ihre Leidenschaft, die zwangsläufig dazu führte, diese auch öffentlich zu präsentieren. Sie spielt, wie der Name schon sagt, vorwiegend elektronische Musik. Ansonsten ist ihr Stil schwer zu beschreiben, weil er so vielfältig gestaltet ist, dass er in kein Genre passt.

Born and raised in Vienna Jacqueline Kraus aka Elektra Bregenz specialised in photography, video and object art in the course of her art studies. Collecting records has always been her passion which inevitable led to public performances. She plays electronic music as her name already indicates. But her style is hard to describe because it is so versatile that it doesn't fit into any genre.

Coopération entre autres avec le groupe de Mel Merio "Menstruation Monsters" (Visuals / Video). Depuis 2007: Se spécialise dans la photographie (dernièrement pour la couverture de Louie Austen). Travaille également en tant que DJ et organisatrice (Kegawa Club).

Evatronica alias Eva Schimmer, arbeitet als Fotokünstlerin. Nach 4 Jahren als Fotoredakteurin für Wochenmagazine und Tageszeitungen im In- und Ausland beschloss sie, die Kamera selbst in die Hand zu nehmen. Im Zuge von Reisen, ... entstand ein Pool an selbst produziertem Bildmaterial, der als Ausgangsbasis für ihre Performances dient. Im Rahmen von "Photography for the masses" organisierte sie "Slideshows im Club-Kontext" unter dem Namen Evatronica in Wien und Graz - eine interdisziplinäre Zusammenführung von VJ-ing mit Photo-Slideshows. Sie erweckt Bilder, starre Momentaufnahmen oder losgelöste Eindrücke zum Leben. Fotografie als Ausgangsbasis für Bildverschmelzungen.
Derzeit arbeitet sie an mehreren Fotobüchern und Visualisierungskonzepten.

Evatronica alias Eva Schimmer, works as a photo-artist. After working as a photo-editor for newspapers and weekly magazines for 4 years, she decided to take pictures herself. During travels, ... she created a collection of self-produced photo material that provides the basis for her performances. Intense, colourful images mixed together to a unique content pool. Adjusted to the sound and the theme of the event, mixed in realtime, those captured moments and impressions come to live again for the audience. In May 2005 she organised slideshows in club context under the title "photography for the masses": an interdisciplinary coalescence of VJ-ing with slideshows under the pseudonym "Evatronica".

VJ LUMA (a.k.a. Astrid Steiner) is one of the pioneers of VJ culture in Austria. As one part of the VJ Duo luma.launisch Astrid Steiner has played in some of the major VJ events as well as some of the best known clubs in Austria and Germany. Astrid Steiner also enlightens the screens of classical music halls and opera houses where her videos are much more than background stage design. Her aim is to tell stories rather than showing affirmative decoration on the screen. This brought her the attention of the art scene and invitations to create video installations for the Vienna Biennale 2006 and for the Soundframe 2008 exhibtion in the Künstlerhaus Wien.
Astrid Steiner developed her skills and her unique style by working as an editor on Austrian TV shows like "Sendung ohne Namen"". She has also worked on internationally acclaimed and documentaries and commercials.

Ni aka Jennifer Schwartze lebt und arbeitet als Multimedia Artist, Grafikerin, DJ & Partyorganisatorin in Wien. 2002 gründet sie gemeinsam mit Louis Dijon das Künstlerkollektiv Senf. Die trash*Kurzfilme und humoristischen Artclips des Duos waren ursprünglich für den Clubkontext gedacht, fanden sich jedoch nach kurzer Zeit in internationalen Austellungsprojekten und auf Filmfestivals wieder. Drei Jahre später folgte in neuer Besetzung das Projekt Senf TV, ein Veranstaltungsmagazin für Underground Clubkultur, Kunst und Musik auf Wiens offenem Fernsehkanal OKTO. Das Video zu Mind Out! war Anlass für die erstmalige Zusammenarbeit mit Medienkünstlerin boesebertha (Laura Skocek), zukünftige gemeinsame Projekte sind in Planung.

Vor 15 Jahren entdeckte Nowemba ihre Leidenschaft für das Fotografieren. Nach eigenen Angaben stellt dies für sie neben der Herstellung von bewegten Bildern und deren Symbiose mit elektronischer Musik die beste Möglichkeit dar, ihr kreatives Potential voll auszuschöpfen. Als Teil der Künstler-Labels "Club7" & eye|con ist sie für ihren eigenen Stil bekannt: So kombiniert sie Bilder mit eigenen Texten oder führt verschiedene Medien zu temporären Installationen zusammen.

super u started her visual shaping eight years ago in France and is named after a hypermarket that leaves nothing to be desired, ever since. Her choice is hyperreal just as well as digital. In the context of live cinema, theater and electronic music she combines current computer based filmmaking techniques with self-tinkered materials to create fragmented visions and micro stories that invite the viewer into a world with its own internal logic. super u studied Media- and Interaction Design in Graz and Berlin and has been working in Vienna since 2007.

super u begann vor acht Jahren in Frankreich ihr Gestalten und heißt seitdem wie ein Hypermarkt, der alle Wünsche erfüllen kann. Ihr Angebot ist ebenso hyperreal, wie digital. Vienna-based producer Angina P takes her name from the throat inflammation that plagued her throughout most of her childhood and teenage years. Shaping her into the person she is today, she takes powerful layers and sharp contrasts to create compositions that are abrasive, complex, and emotionally charged. While persistently raw and moody, the music maintains a sense of pureness and digs deep into her psyche.
Angina P has previously appeared on a number on compilation CDs and on-line releases. Her songs on mp3.com have reached number 1 in their respective genres and have over 370,000 downloads. She has been aired on many radio stations and syndicated shows throughout the world. Additionally, her cinematic style has earned her appearances in both the film and video game industries. Her credits include the track "Hidden Assault" which has been featured in the DVD version of the Warner Bros' film, "Taking Lives", and the History Channel's show, "Air Stealth, Sea Stealth, Land Stealth". She has also composed the soundtrack and sound effects for the video game, "SunAge", released by Lighthouse Interactive. Apart from writing and producing her own tracks, Angina P also performs live and remixes tracks for fellow musicians. A busy up-and-comer, make sure to keep a close eye on her for the future.

Ausgeklügelte Breakbeats und chillige Ambientsounds - den Stil der Wiener One-Woman-Band mag man als Mischung aus gedankenversunkenen Ambient-Elementen, Drum 'n' Bass und New Age verstehen. Kiki Moorse, familiar as founding member of Chicks on Speed which formed 1997 in Munich, has left Chicks on Speed after nine years, an own label, innumerable collaborations, more than twenty releases, a book, Karl Lagerfeld,  Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and worlwide tours. She has written the lyrics for C.O.S.'s first hit Glamour Girl and Coventry among others and designed and photographed numerous C.O.S. artworks (Kaltes Klares Wasser-sleeve,  the Boob Monster, ...) and has designed C.O.S.'s stage clothes and collections.
Kiki is daughter of filmproducer Barbara Moorse (Brennende Langeweile) and late film director George Moorse (Lenz, Der Findling, Kuckucksjahre, Lindenstrasse).  She grew up in Munich's film scene in the family home in Schwabing. At 13 she hangs on Leopoldstrasse at Cafe Capri with Klaus Lemke and designs her first  clothing line for Guenther Schmalor's Schwabing boutique. At 15 she designs the costumes for cult movie Der Fan. Some years later, Kiki lives in paris where she assists Vogue fashion editors. After two years she returns to Munich to become a fashion editor herself with Miss Vogue. During this time she travels between Paris, Munich, N.Y., London, Tokyo and L.A. Miss Vogue folds, she now works as free lance editor for German Elle, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, does styling. 1997 she meets Melissa and Alex and they decide to work together on a mutual project.
2000 Berlin becomes her new home. Since 2003 she has DJed as part of COS DJ team + solo. 2007 she starts the music project BadFrench with Andreas Reihse and participates in numerous LP projects: DR Teslas Earthquake machine, Sonic weekend #2 and #3 (white label music UK), The Tin Islands, toffeetronic UK.

Chez Debs, a one-woman Belgian electronic band residing in Copenhagen brings you electro beats with deep bass and melodic synths. The music is accompanied by Chez Debs' low-key vocals and high-key staged attitude. She often collaborates with different artists to present live shows and to create music videos.
Chez Debs has been making electronic music with her laptop and keyboard since some years now. She has performed at different places and venues e.i. at the Norberg festival in Sweden, at the FancyHim club in Tokyo, at Lido in Berlin, and at different locations and clubs in Denmark (for instance in connection with the Copehagen Jazz festival, as a support act for the Canadian band Lesbians on Ecstasy , Aarhus Festuge, and Culture Box Copenhagen).
Her song "Visitors" has been released on the compilation "The Wired Ones" by Berlin-based record label Wired Records. In addition, Wired Records plans a Chez Debs EP scheduled this spring. Another song ("Chanson pour les pirates") has been released on the Danish compilation "Ornli' syg gadefest".

Electric Indigo, DJ and musician, has rocked clubs, festivals, and raves in 35 countries in Europe, Asia, North- and South America. Her name stands for an intelligent interpretation of the terms "techno" and "party". Music as medication: Not everybody who dances to her records realizes that they are listening to a qualified nurse. And why should they? In the first place, Estroe is an extremely good DJ who has recently started performing live with her own productions. Just don't call her a techno DJ, "I've always played and made everything I like".
The Amsterdam-born Estroe nowadays belongs to a small handful of female DJs that has made it to the top. She has played the decks at all of the major dance festivals, including the Dutch festivals Dance Valley and Lowlands as well as the Movement Festival in Detroit, where she stood alongside DJs such as Sven Väth, Derrick May and Carl Cox, who later added her single Bellisimore to his top ten favourite records.
As well as establishing herself as a DJ, Estroe is also a serious musician. She started producing somewhere in 2003, when techno was in a "contest" to become "harder and more grim". As an unconscious response to that Estroe based her first singles on the early days of Detroit techno, the days when Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin and the British group The Black Dog cradled their synthesizers instead of beating them up.
In autumn 2006 she launched the web label EevoNext which she manages along with Stefan 'Terrace' Robbers and Klaas-Jan 'The Moderator' Jongsma. With the release of "Driven" on Connaisseur Superieur (2007) and "Bellisimore" on the Scottish 7th Sign label (2006), in which she is supported by Laurent Garnier, Funk d Void and Ben Sims, Estroe is on the verge of international break through.

Geboren in Teheran, aufgewachsen in Wien, lernte Rana Farahani schon früh, Klavier zu spielen. 2004, nach ein paar Jahren als Stammgast im FLEX, begann sie, ihre Freude an Musik auch als DJ umzusetzen. Die ersten öffentlichen Auftritte absolvierte sie im (alten) FLEXcafe, um aber schon bald zu ihrem Lieblingsclub, dem CRAZY, in die FLEXhalle zu wechseln. In kürzester Zeit eignete sie sich die nötigen Mixingskills an und begeistert ihr Publikum mit ihren klugen und gefühlvollen Sets. Sie lässt sich nicht auf ein bestimmtes Genre festlegen, ihr Sound ist soulful, deep und effektiv auf den Dancefloors. Es folgten Gigs auf diversen Events und Festivals in Österreich, Ungarn und Spanien.
Seit 2006 gehört Fauna der female:pressure Plattform an, seit 2007 produziert sie selbst Musik in ihrem Homestudio - "L'Amour De Loin" ist ihre erste Veröffentlichung - und sie ist auch Teil des FLEXSchallplatten Kollektivs, auf dessen Label für 2008 eine EP von ihr geplant ist. Gemeinsam mit Crazy Sonic gestaltet sie gelegentlich die monatliche Radioshow "Crazy Hour" auf Play FM.

AV-Cooperations started in 2002 with mingo.tv and led from 2003 on to live performances with visualist stefan kushima in clubs from london to istambul. further live musical cooperations featured digilog, martin stepanek, werner puntigam and das fleisch. 2007 saw the birth of irradiation feat. mieze medusa a project crossing borders between techno, hiphop and poetry. fm4 soundselection 17 proudly presents their first hit and soundframe festival 2008 celebrated their live talents. irradiation is well respected in austria's electronic music scene for her integrative qualities. (co-) organizing temp˜ electronic music festival, the clubseries temp˜est, temp˜eriert and klick! irradiation links the audio and visual domain beyond austrian borders.

irradiation steht seit 1990 für elektronische musik voll dunkler sinnlichkeit mit kickendem fundament. als produzentin von releases auf dem von ihr geführten label temp˜records, female pressure open:sounds oder netlabels wie mir music oder kreatur beeindruckte sie in den letzten jahren. was 2002 als av-kooperation mit mingo.tv begann, setzte sie ab 2003 live in ästhethischer verschmelzung mit visualist stefan kushima in klubs von barcelona bis istambul um. weitere kooperationen zwischen analog und digital erfolgten mit digilog, martin stepanek, werner puntigam und das fleisch. 2007 brachte genregrenzen sprengend irradiation feat. mieze medusa hervor. die verschmelzung von elektronischer clubmusik mit hiphop und poetry wurde mit einem release auf der fm4 soundselection 17 gewürdigt und live am soundframe festival 2008 gefeiert. nebenbei machte sie sich auch als veranstalterin des temp˜ electronic music festivals und der klubreihen temp˜eriert im rhiz und temp˜est im brut oder als co-veranstalterin der klick!-reihe einen namen, der damit auch für ihre integrativen qualitäten, zwischen audio- und videokunst auch über die grenzen österreichs hinaus steht.

Margaret Noble started her career in the sound-arts as an electronic music DJ in the underground club community of Chicago. From 2003 to 2004, she traveled as performance DJ throughout the United States and Mexico. In 2004, she branched out from dance floor DJing into more experimental interests and created a monthly sound arts showcase in Chicago called "Spectacle". Throughout this period she received multiple write-ups in UR, Newcity, The Sun Times, The Reader, The Chicago Tribune and Vogue. From 2005 to 2007, she completed an MFA in sound art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She now performs locally and nationally as an experimental composer in solo and in collaboration with video artists. Her collaborative works include short experimental films and audio recordings which have been exhibited in a variety of film festivals and art openings nationally and internationally.

Mavi se crió en la costa atlántica de Galicia, en el fin del mundo. Tras pasarse la infancia escuchando el sonido de las olas, se licenció en Historia del Arte, Musicología y terminó sus estudios de piano en Salamanca. Huyendo de los calores de la Penísula se trasladó a Colonia, ciudad donde encontró el lugar perfecto para cultivar su pasión por el minimaltechno. Tras cinco anhos en Alemania su espíritu aventurero necesitaba un cambio de aires. Desde hace dos meses vive la gallega en Zurich, desde donde nos manda cada primer miercoles del mes una postal sonora en directo tras los platos con su programa Lusco e Fusco en audioasyl.net. Con el remix del "Kimono" de Cio D'Or, su primer release, nos muestra su hacer como productora.

Mavi wuchs an der Küste Galiziens, am Ende der Welt auf. Nachdem sie ihre Kindheit lang dem Rauschen der Wellen lauschte, studierte sie Kunst, Musikwissenschaft und klassisches Klavier. Um der Hitze Spaniens zu entfliehen, zog sie nach Köln und widmete sich nachts dem Minimaltechno. Nach 5 Jahren war's dann Zeit für eine Luftveränderung. Seit kurzem lebt und produziert Mavi am Zürichsee und schickt uns jeden ersten Mittwoch des Monats mit ihrer Livesendung Lusco e Fusco auf audioasyl.net eine elektronische Postkarte vom Plattenteller zu. Nun zeigt sie uns ihre Seite als Produzentin mit ihrer ersten Veröffentlichung: ihr Remix von Cio D'Ors "Kimono".

Zuerst war das Nichts, dann die Silberkugel und jetzt Mimikry. Drei Wesen der Nacht rocken die Stadt, sind in Bewegung und erzählen Geschichten in Bildern. Unsere Arbeit ist eine Safari durch den Dschungel des Lebens. Als desillusionierte Teenager der 90er Jahre, umgeben von Techno und Konsum, suchen wir seit jeher nach Heldinnen des Alltags (Mama, Ronja Räubertochter, Momo, Pippi Langstrumpf, Sophie Scholl, Hannah Höch, Rosa Parks, Frida Kahlo, Bikini Kill, Valie Export, Janis Joplin, Jeanne d'Arc, Patti Smith und viele, viele mehr) und der verbindenden Sehnsucht einer gemeinsamen Revolution. Rebecca von Kalinowsky, weiblicher DJ und Produzentin, ist seit beginn ihrer außergewöhnlichen Karriere bekannt dafür, Akzente zu setzen und ihr Publikum mit immer wieder neuen, frischen und anders klingenden Sounds zu begeistern. Previously Marine was working on her Mixher project and Miruna at the Hector project. Not long time ago, they decided to collaborate and they gave birth to Stereonucleose. The name is a painfull memory of Miruna since she was a teenager and caught the Mononucleosis. To avoid medical names and low quality mono sound, the two members decided to change the illness into a band called Stereonucleosis. The franco-romanian project is born in Bucharest, Romania. The two members are now moving to Berlin, the exact middle between their two countries.

Précédement Marine travaillait seule sur le projet Mixher et Miruna sur le projet de groupe Hector. Il y a peu de temps, elles décident de collaborer et donnent naissance à Stereonucleose. Le nom est un douloureux souvenir pour Miruna depuis qu'elle à eu la mononucléose quand elle était ado. Pour éviter les noms médicaux et la mauvaise qualité du son mono, les deux membres décident de transformer la maladie en groupe appellé Stereonucleose. Le groupe mi-français, mi-roumain crée en 2007 à Bucarest s'installe maitenant à Berlin, à mi-chemin entre les deux pays d'origine.

Water Lilly is one of the main figures representing the Swiss electro scene today. Behind the decks since 96 and producing from 99 she materializes a subtle mixture of analogue atmospheric sounds with a pumpy dancefloor feeling. After six EP's released on Mental Groove and Lasergun records, she delivered her debut album called "Sputnika". Working on many different projects Water Lilly likes to collaborate with other artists and medias being for instance part of the soundratck of two movies from the French Director Xavier Giannoli, like 2006 year's Cannes official selection movie: "Quand j'ètais chanteur" with Gerard Depardieu. Water Lilly also mixed the Street Parade Underground compilation CD 2006 released on EMI. As well as the famous Swiss brand of watches TISSOT collaborated with Water Lilly for the launch of their new line for woman, the T-Touch.

Xyramat, eine one-woman-show, liebt und lebt die Musik seit ..... Spielte sie früher in eher dem New Wave und dem Experiment verpflichteten Bands wie z.B. Devantgarde - einer unbekannt gebliebenen, aber hoffnungsvollen Industrial Band - wechselte sie Anfang der 90er des letzten Jahrhunderts in die experimentelle elektronische Musik und begann mit der Konstruktion von Klängen, die ihre eigene elektronische Handschrift zu erkennen gaben. Schwer zu beschreiben: eckig, kantig, schräg, schön, gefühlsecht - zu hören u.a. auf "Konstruktionen" (Dom&Elchklang), "Electronically" (block 4) und "(E)Motion" (TECNONUCLEO). Xyramat schafft es immer wieder, neue weitere Sphären zu beschreiten mit der ihr typisch zugeschriebenen Energie und Rastlosigkeit, stets darum bemüht, den Zauber der Musik und des Klangs einzufangen.
Sie konstruierte Klänge für die Internet Ausstellung "millennium" von Shahin Charmi, bastelte an Sounds für das Filmprojekt von Karsten Weber "Faites vos Jeux", remixte "Vorstoss" von Notstandskomitee, gab einen Track für "Women take back the Noise" oder "Too much to fast to true to slow" usw.

As a producer ZoëXenia creates a hybrid of rolling bass, mysterious soundscapes and funked-up beats. As a singer she uses her voice not only as vocal, but instrument itself, keeping her firmly on the avante-garde tip. "I like to improvise and try things with my voice, it's an instrument I carry everywhere; like recording myself having the hiccups, and making some fine rhythms with it." She made it to the Diesel-U-Music Benelux finals in 2003, was a selected finalist at Grote Prijs van Nederland in 2004 and now performs both as a vocalist and electronic live-act on parties and festivals throughout Europe.
Her first EP was released on ArtMiniMal in Spring 2007, October 2007 she appeared on Connaisseur with the 'Sweet Dreams ep', a producers battle beween her and collegue Estroe.This year she will appear on Connaisseur with a track on the new Grand Cru 2008 compilation and with a solo ep. Apart from producing, Zoë loves her work as a vocalist. Pacha recordings invited her to come to Ibiza and record vocals for Richard Grey and she recently did vocals & lyrics for the new albums from Dub Taylor and Marco Bailey.
Advancing and refining what electronic music can be and collaborating with different artists, are the inspiration for what ZoëXenia does. Equally important is how she brings that to the dancefloor. On stage she has remarkable presence. With her powerful, soulful voice, and her ability to produce sounds as if from another planet, she weaves together a hypnotic, ecstatic experience for the listener; an exchange of energy that dissolves boundaries, where music becomes a universal language.
ZoëXenia supports Dance4life, the organisation that devotes itself to inform youth about Aids and HIV prevention by hosting danceparties in more than 10 different countries throughout the world, raising money for the Aids foundation.
